Advent Light Day 9: The Rest

It’s been a long day, and I just came home from a long meeting. I was out of sorts a lot of the day, a bit grumpy and testy. Luckily, I was able to pretty much keep that to myself.

I’m supposed to find two signs of God’s light today, and here’s what I’ll say: rest and hope.

Rest: I’m giving myself the day off from finding God’s light, and that in itself is a sign of that light, isn’t it? A sign that I can take a breather when I need to, without giving up on the project.

Hope: I am hopeful that I will see more tomorrow. This isn’t the end. There’s goodness. And I’ll see it again, as I say each week in Biblia Luna, “hopefully tomorrow.”

That’s where I saw God’s light today, the second Monday of Advent.
